Data security

i have been out of loop on topic while. since i'm moving of equipment shared open space studio..

what best method secure data on drives being copied?

- there password protection feature on mac os access drive. can gotten around starting external drive 1 can clone internal drives , pick data out.

- there software can erase , formate drives secure , not bypassed above?

- there hardware security usb dongle/stick disk can used physical key?

i'm ears..

 

don't connect local network or internet.
