iPhone 4S UK Stock?

my friend wanted sim free iphone yesterday , after scratching our heads thinking sell them apart official apple store, ended @ meadowhall apple store.

wanted 16gb iphone 4s in black, when assistant checked didn't appear have stock of capacity in colour!

suggested reserve online , come back, not option considering had spent £8 each on train tickets getting there!

walked across way o2 store , 5 minutes later walked out 16gb iphone 4s black! (are locked? not matters friend going on giff gaff network).

found bit surprising apple store didn't have stock, considering has been out 5 months now.

 

that seem quite unusual @ time of year.
