My "better" version of the new Apple TV GUI

although it's not bad, there parts of new apple tv interface seem step backwards now.. "rainbow brite" home screen. couldn't put finger on @ first, felt more cluttered , bit "off". odd me say, since typically enjoy of apple's gui's.

thought i'd play around bit photoshop today , share slight re-design. kept rectangle icons, removed glaring color - made icons appear more text bars deeper in. eliminated partially visible icons below first row. personally, overall result - feels cleaner.

there's little chance apple change of course... can dream. guess i'm hoping apple using new design stop-gap until release cool version television set.

know there's thread going on dislike of new apple tv gui design... wanted share solution:
