i bought 13" macbook pro in nov of 2009, , in june of 2010 replaced hard drive 750gb western digital scorpio blue 5400rpm drive. worked beautifully, past few weeks i've had lockups , freezing multiple programs, , ran utility see if had failing hard drive. do, several bad sectors.
i'm reading hdapm tool supposedly should have installed after replacing hard drive. know i'm talking about? have caused hard drive fail young (after 18 months of use), or have seen issues go?
regardless, need replace drive, wise same version , install hdapm or go different brand? looking same size, , under $200...
help!
