which mobile phone to connect ipad to internet , not iphone

am looking mobile phone can use connect ipad internet, not interested in paying iphone ipad have no need of one.

samsung galaxy ace has been mentioned , htc wildfire s coming in @ same price, has experience of using either of these phones or other.

remeber looking low cost mobile payg .

 

i remember hearing lot of people buying older palm pixi this. might mistaken though.
