New iPad branding - would iPad2 HD been better?


when new ipad came out, sure marketed extension of ipad2 - ipad2 hd.

positioning new ipad upgraded graphics version of ipad2 have quashed lot of objections of weight, heat , battery life - opting hd model clear costs more , there slight compromises on weight.

have announced price reduction of ipad2 keeping higher storage options, , still able claim weight , battery life of basic range (unlike offering 16gb)

realize not different now, marking makes huge difference on how product perceived - non-tech types or newbies.

hard fault apple here since i'm sure did share of homework, me seems if extended ipad2 rather replace have made more sense me.
 

the product substantial upgrade ipad 2, claiming "ipad 2 hd" saying ipad 2s , it's far better that. , adding name make numbering more convoluted, idea dropping numbering simplicity , not having worry sound of "ipad 10", etc. it'd confusing regarding name ipad after "ipad 2 hd" also.
