hello all,
have 13" 120 gb macbook air have been @ capacity long time although barely have stored on it.
if check different folders of harddrive, sum 70 gb including system folder. seems make sense relative have on computer (i know have 10 gb of pictures, 6-7 gb of movies , music, couple of gbs in applications , 15 gb in mail).
however, if ask information whole "macintosh hd" says @ 119 gb. else have discrepancy? or have ideas "missing capacity" may have gone?

for space issues, there few things can try:
- begin restarting computer first step. resolves issues.
- search finder see if space being consumed large file or several large files. adjust 50gb in illustration whatever size deem appropriate.

- for time machine users on lion, time machine local snapshots may consuming space.
- use omnidisksweeper, jdisk report or grandperspective see how space being used on drive. of these apps may show more detail others, try several.
