How to restore functionality to the launchpad button on MBA

so, got mba yesterday , thought accidentally changed key. went system preferences keyboard , clicked on restore default , lauchpad button doesn't work. tried assign still didn't work. assigned function + f4 , worked. how change how was? thanks!

 

hi did find fix this. i'v done same on mbp , starting annoy me.
