UITextField.text property clear with nil?

hi,

clearing text property of uitextfield programmatically, best write nametextfield.text = @""; or nametextfield.text = nil; //?

i'm not sure if reason why app not working properly. i'm still trying debug.

i've searched through apple documentation , other forums, , there doesn't seem straight answer anywhere.

the documentation says text property nsstring , nil default. have used empty quote method on nsstrings in uilabels , don't know why wouldn't work uitextfield also. so, seems both methods fine.
