Migration Help Please

i've searched high , low , realize may have made bed migration did, here goes...

migrated powerbook g4 macbook pro. had username on new computer (and files, etc.), , wanted bring on files had sitting on other computer. migration wouldn't let me repeat same username when did migration, have 2 users on macbook pro.

i'm not allowed permission view files powerbook g4 (username "powerbook"), understand how go in under info , manually change settings read & write. trouble is, there many folders i'd hate have manually of them.

gather enable fast switching between accounts, user "powerbook" isn't listed user, nor can add it.

primary goal in this, if possible, somehow merge "sent mail" folders macmail "powerbook" account current account.

@ possible? merge folders different user accounts?

there fast/semi-painless way around having change sharing & permissions of old folders?

i've searched forums , seems shot myself in foot way did migration, , not sure if there's a(n easy) way undo first move...

help!

 

i understand talking about. last 3 new laptops have gotten. have setup user name on power migrated on tm previous laptop, had change name, you. added in middle initial. when tm complete deleted first user name , edited migration name deleted.

dilemma have stuff on original user , can't that. im curious of fix. luck.
