lexicon alpha with logic issue


i on macbook pro
lion
, logic 9.1.6
using brand new sm58
brand new lead
thru brand new lexicon alpha unit

logic doesn't seem find form of input - there faint muffled sounding recording coming mic if press record , shout down - yet sounds perfect coming lexicon unit headphones

, it's not problem lexicon can see in picture laptop can see signal how hearing logic has no volume

, yes output input both set lexicon - buffer size 128

worried it's problem lion - had problem friends digidesign mbox , had latest driver work lion trying find lexicon drivers on world wide web trying find sand in waterfall

have literally turned stone today how mind numbingly impossible seems solve flick of switch somewhere - has ruined planned night of weekend recording

please send thoughts/tips asap/please meeee

p.s cannot find form of interface lexicon mixer e.t.c of liked of checked uninstall/reinstall or
 

for starters, don't think lex has drivers, per se -- it's usb compliant device (it's usb 1.1)

sm58s need lot of gain. it's dynamic mic. try cranking preamp on lex. don't confused hearing what's coming out of lex's headphone amp vs. what's making logic.

ps -- d'oh: i've read post , looked @ screenshot -- click small 'i' icon next red record enable icon (the red r) on track.

also, alpha doesn't have mix front end software apogee's maestro or rme's totalmix (or whatever it's called).
