i have problem hoping me with. i've tried migrating itunes music external hard drive (seagate freeagentgoflex 500gb). i'm running itunes 10 on pc. followed instructions @ ilounge. when tried move media folder recycle bin, found had no itunes media folder -- had folder called "itunes music". tried moving recycle bin, , computer said recycle bin wasn't large enough. moved , renamed it.
started itunes again, , had no music. saw message in window said itunes music in "home" folder , selected it. itunes populated music on c again, , can't find on external hard drive. take 8 hours recreate them. using windows explorer found , played file on external hard drive using itunes, music on external hard drive.
top off, damn thing deleted playlists , custom eq settings. can tell me how untangle situation? don't want music on c drive, want on external hard drive. delete itunes c, download , reinstall on external hard drive? suggestions appreciated.
in itunes, go preferences, advanced, change media folder location...
playlists, right click ones want migrate, export external drive, import after changing media location
eq settings, have no idea...
