battery drain with mobile data

my phone's battery has been draining quicker every since upgraded 5.0.1. leave mobile data , 3g on , battery drains 35% overnight. doesn't last more 8 hours light usage during day.

last night however, had wifi connected in addition mobile data , battery drain less 10%. it's past lunch , battery still going strong @ 80% now. i've been connected wifi entire time. battery life used before updating.

has else encountered such problem? there fix?
