Initial hang when launching a pages/numbers/keynote/textedit/preview document?

hi guys,

whenever launch pages/numbers/keynote/textedit/preview document, application hangs 2-4 seconds (with legendary rainbow wheel). cannot figure out why case.

thought font issue, restored fonts , used default ones. after, changed accounts, reinstalled operating systems , issue still remains on 27" imac. i've run onyx's maintenance service , still there.

assume issue hard disk or caching data hard disk? due excessive page fault or demand paging handling.

anyone?

 

initial hang when launching textedit

hang on opening textedit (with revolving rainbow 150 seconds) due textedit attempting access autosaved file on remote machine no longer accessible. (it did not hang airport off.)

'forget' autosaved file, move textedit autosave information trash:

/users/youruser/library/autosave information/com.apple.textedit.plist
