Powerbook G4 15" audio jack issue

hey all, acquired powerbook g4 15" (to replace bought 12") , i've been having issues audio out port. when plug in earphones, audio comes out of left earphone/headphone. i've tried 2 earphones , pair of headphones no avail.

however, while audio works fine when hooked stereo system sound muted on right speaker. i've checked audio balance in system settings , seems in order.

specifications, it's second last revision 15" 1.67ghz g4 , low resolution screen.

its got causing bad contact inside jack. so, have done pram reset on yet?
