Window Close, Minimize and Zoom buttons not shoing colors


thats odd... reason little close,min , zoom buttons on mbp not lit up.the buttons work have no green yellow , red. idea how fix issue?
 

first check system preferences > appearance > appearance. show graphite? if so, change it. if doesn't apply, have tried restarting computer? that's first step in troubleshooting, , clears many problems.
