1 of major selling features of new verizon ipad wi-fi + 4g lte compatibility gsm networks international roaming purposes. hasn't been clear whether users insert at&t micro-sim card verizon ipad , receive data connectivity. given verizon ipad supports same gsm frequency bands non-lte networks version sold at&t, appeared technically possible use verizon ipad on at&t although apple have opted restrict device's operation on other networks.

noted jsnuff1 in our forums, new verizon ipad indeed work on at&t's network when equipped at&t micro-sim , device's carrier settings updated support connecting at&t.
it important note, however, verizon ipad limited non-lte bands (edge, 3g, hspa+ 4g) on at&t. verizon ipad hardware supports 700 mhz band lte match carrier's technology, while gsm version sold use on at&t's network supports both 700 mhz , 2100 mhz bands used carrier.
