iphone4s ios 5.0.1(9a405) firmware 1.0.13

first apple device. know little jailbreaks. want unlock phone.
i'm confused idbs blog posts lil.
can't use absinthe jb @ moment if want unlock right?
can downgrade 5.0 ifaith?
, if jb device, there's no turning back? able unlock in future still?
comments , advises appriciated, thanks.

i'm windows user , have no access mac os. guess can't use new jb anyway. releases jb software windows?

windows should come in few days @ most. can still jb right using vmware...but firs iphone , jb i'm trying figure out how
