Video fade on FCP X question?

i'm learning fcp x , trying fade in start of video , fade out. way i've found far add transition @ start/end. there way can adjust fade curve it's linear default? i'd rather fade in more without adjusting overall fade time.

you keyframe opacity, there not seem curve function, have make "curve" adding keyframes yourself.
