Transferring iPad Data Package

i ordered "new ipad" (or 3rd gen.) lucky 1 still has unlimited data package, first generation ipad. when purchased ipad 2 did transfer sim card on new ipad, data package transferred, simple solution. new ipad requires 4g/lte sim card (to tell if have 4g/lte sim 9th digit "2" , 10th digit "5" on card if not regular 3g card , may cause reception problems 3rd gen. ipad) operate properly, left dilemma, went at&t new sim card (so put in new ipad when arrives have data package, did when switched 1st gen 2nd gen.) said didn't know how give me sim card , maintain unlimited data. sake or research purchased blank new 4g/lte sim card at&t ($27.00 thank come again). went home started looking @ options on at&t ipad online account management , on ipad in data connection area in settings, when noticed screen, (i had seen several times never read actual information on it, entered email addy , password) states, "you can transfer existing ipad service new device logging in below." problem solved (i sure felt idiot at&t reps should feel more so) data package transferred new 4g/lte sim card. might have same question , never realized screen before figured pass along.
fyi: don't go out , buy new 4g/lte sim new ipad should come preloaded one. sign account , transfer needs. works at&t, not sure how verizon's data managment works, cannot offer advise.
