i know it’s lot of info need advice.
live in sheffield in uk there apple store nearby warranty has run out , wanted advice before go.
apple power mac 2x3gb quad core (early 2008)
have been having start issues while seems it's getting worse.
when issue started boot, , when screen went blue before loading desktop, stalled , blue screen went checkered or booted under mouse there 7 vertical lines.
got worse failing boot @ all….. power light comes on, clicks, powers off. fixed removing ram , booting no ram re-added ram , reset pram.
booted previous ram inserted????? i've tried resetting smu
here few questions need on:
guys think means ram?
can mac boot no graphics card, infact minimum mac needs boot testing puposes?
ram more expensive apple shop, things logic boards , power supply equally overpriced?
can recommend hardware diagnostic software?
know if apple shop charge per hour or per incident?
have read diagnostic lights on mac can't seem find them on modal (any directions great)
have read hard reset button on logic board different model
