Radeon X800 XT power connection question

so, i'm close upgrading june 2004 power mac g5 radeon 9600 xt radeon x800 xt.

thing is, i've heard of more power hungry graphics cards require power cable connect card directly power supply, or connecting optical drive power supply - or something.

can point me in right direction here?

i have x800 xt g5 never heard of that. can't imagine being case.
