Why won't Safari's security certificates for Facebook and Twitter verify on my connec

at least once every day box pops says safari can't verify identity of facebook.com or twitter.com. click ok or adjust "always trust" , facebook.com goes blank. blank page access denied, page cannot found, etc. etc.

fixes i've found online seem windows-based , suggest making sure clock/time accurate. mine has been date that's not option me. i've disabled pop-ups per suggestion , didn't anything.

if there's mac users knowledge of security certificates, it'd huge help.

using:
safari 5.1.2
snow leopard 10.6.8
wireless via router
