Reformatting and syncing.

i tried on apple forums no luck, maybe might prove more helpful.

otherwise, in bullet points:

reformatted laptop.
forgot itunes files.
connected iphone 4 laptop after reformat , realised doesn't sync "new" library.
tried de-authorising computers , re-authorising compute see if sync - didn't work.
tried backing , transferring purchases - didn't work.

if sync "new" library, apply music? fear text , email messages, contact info, apps, app data, photos, etc. lost in process.

don't trust ups itunes has made since folder 3gb big (unless average size) , fact phone hasn't synced itunes since reformat.

intents , purposes, "new" library in "my music" folder same "old" library before reformat.

can help? or @ least allay concerns data may or may not lost. ideally, want in situation can sync if nothing had happened.

 

it should simple reauthorize, backup , transfer purchase operation. try again? reboot?
