How to remember / save AFP share password?

okay, i've got nice little file-server , running, it's running freenas based on freebsd , i'm hosting 8tb zfs raidz array on network , freenas supports both samba / cifs windows systems , afp (v3) macintosh systems.

there 1 slight problem, i've got mac mini acting itunes , media-server, running applications µtorrent mac automatic rss downloads saved directly file-server. problem whatever reason os x doesn't seem able save afp shares password? when add @freenas share connected automatically when log onto mac mini user fails result of not being able input password never gets saved. have manually go "connect server", chose afp://"server-ip-address" favourites list , input password every single time.

saves password needed access freenas.local, actual file-server no password created afp share itself. makes things rather nasty upon every boot , every single time mac mini might lose connection share whatever reason it's not able re-establishing connection without me inputting afp share password each time. resolves in itunes server being useless wont have access media data while not connected share , what's makes matters worse µtorrent mac not being able other toss kinds of error messages claiming torrent files , not being available, , when re-establishing connection , force µtorrent start on current torrents start downloading begging adding xxxx.xx1 savings of torrents making them added , downloaded twice instead of resuming had left out.

funny thing though os x have no problems connecting through samba shares, , if os x prompt me , ask me if want save password , have no issues whatsoever automatically re-connect upon login , restart of mac mini. of course, because of added , more stable connection want use afp instead of samba / cifs when file-server supports it.

there surly has way os x saving afp share password? tried add manually keychain without luck.
