i followed instructions listed here gophone sim card working iphone. restored iphone 3gs sim card in , reset network settings. orange/white sim card, , have cheapo phone on cheap 10¢ minute plan (only using make sure can at&t signal.
strangely when booting up, said "searching..." said "no signal." did used off of craigslist original owner never mentioned cell radio didn't work. i've tried t-mobile simcard in device (not unlocked).
ideas on how work?
running ios 5.1 modem firmware 05.16.05, possibly able downgrade ios 5.0.1, or upgrading firmware if it's not unlockable.
