Algo question for the math folks out there

hello,

have weird problem, , can not think straight need input on 1 algo

have slider values of 1-9, want use floats 1.0 - 9.0 in float values have rounded off there no 1.5 , 3.7 , so.

want reverse 1.0 use in multiplication 0.9 , 2.0 0.8 , on. cant reason come how that.

maybe need more sleep, when forgot name , word have on of tongue..

please me , relief mental pain

 

1) first part easy: cast int float (assuming using c types rather nsnumber)

2) it's not clear mean "reverse". appears mean "divide 10 subtract result 1.0".
