so when google search “what ip” websites give me different number if @ ip address through network preferences. running macbook pro osx 10.6.8
because isp (internet service provider) provides ip address travelling www, while computer has internal ip address travelling local network have, may consist of modem, router (which sets rules internal ip addresses, 192.168.0/1.1 or 10.0.0/1.1) , mac.
in other words, fine , haven't been hacked. maybe have here, learn more ip addresses.
