the 1tb hd of late 2010 imac 21" failed 2 days ago. happened day after noticing smart error in disk utility , months of significant lags overall. took local authorized service provider , guy there told me need purchase new hd (i had no applecare). cost me $300 cad.
when back, want check if actual new hd paid installed , not old hd fixed somehow. there way check this? thx
