still don't have ipad. buy 1 if can make sure possible chinese ebooks well. far, tried friend's ipad see if available via ibookstore , couldn't find any. thought choice of ebooks may restricted according country account made.

yes, content limited country, also, ibooks isn't way read books on ipad. there lot of chinese books sold apps instead of ibooks, if book in epub format no drm, can opened in ibooks app if come other place ibookstore, there other ereader apps can install on ipad, etc. search internet in general sources of books want read, once find source or two, figure out if , how books can read on ipad
