OS Update on Macbook (2007)

hello,

have mid-2007 white macbook. running 10.5.8.

while had last computer, had bought lion os. know lion os isn't compatible computer so... there anyway can install snow leopard without having purchase again? don't want have pay $29 it.

of course can install lion on model. either need upgrade sl first, or buy lion usb drive.
