How Can I Get My Domain to Go to My Tumblr?

i have domain, sake of thread titled... happydude.com

have tumblr account set , love happydude.com take me happydude.tumblr.com site.

domain purchased dreamhost , i've read articles tumblr's site in total honesty keeps me confused try things out on both ends.

tumblr has 1 article: http://www.tumblr.com/docs/en/custom_domains concerning matter, yet figured i'd come on forums here hoping help. i'm confused , genuinely appreciated.
