iOS 5 on iPad 1 (and 3GS)

ok... think i'm totally out of luck, doesn't hurt ask. ipad 1 has been dog slow since "upgraded" ios 5. i've done updates, nothing helps. i've turned off icloud , location services; close apps can remember to; , thing still lags when doing simple tasks web browsing or typing memo.

ipad free - provided me technology teacher school; needless say, have no desire buy ipad (even ipad 3) when have functional ipad free . know without shsh blobs, i'm out of luck in terms of downgrading 4.3.x. there tweaks make 5.0.1 more bearable?

also, got freebie 3gs use wife's straighttalk account (they allow own phone!). had 3.1.2 (never upgraded 4); decided slower phone more features more useful 1 without, upgraded 5.0.1. same thoughts ipad above, though seem quite bit faster ipad.

 

i have used ipad 1 on ios 5 , never noticed being slower ipad 2. have tried restoring , setting new?
