two ipods, one podcast

i have podcast in itunes podcast section listed twice. @ 1 point while possible subscribe twice. wife syncs 1 , sync other. way keeps our played vs unplayed correct, , picks left off on each of our ipods. go in same folder, (and on mac) adds '1' end of file name separate them.

have new podcast subscribe both want on our ipods won't let me subscribe twice. have solutions?
