Steam - Problem with installation

hi all,


having issue installing steam onto mac.

able download 1.5mb installation set file steam. can launch set file dragging steam icon application folder. when click steam icon, brings window updating - update 39mb. during (usually near end of updating), window pop , said 'steam needs online update, please check connect'.

100% not due internet connection, on net entire time. further, have made 4 attempts launch steam , failed same error message.

have had @ issue on google. suggested solution delete file within steam folder. however, problem don't have content within steam file nor within application support folder.

there have had issue well?

in advance.

 

i had same problem yesterday. installing onto mpb wireless connection. ended connecting directly modem ethernet cable , wireless switched off. failed again first time worked second time. there 2 updates installs - 39mb 1 , 18mb one.
