ATV2 + POGOPLUG + XBMC or ATV2 + AIRPORT + NAS?

alright guys here dilemma...

won pogoplug pro past job , have 2 tb drive hooked in. works great (most of time). problem had jailbreak atv2 xbmc, , little bit of tweaking of codecs .avi files play through xbmc...

or

need buy new router (airport extreme, obviously), , put 2 tb on new router, create separate user account, point directory network , home share account. reason why create new directory because want music physically accounted on macbook's hard drive. not 100 + gb of movies.

or use pogoplug , point directory nas'd pogoplug drive...

or there better solutions? know if home sharing need handbrake movies go .mp4 not problem, prefer not have jailbroken atv2 (i think jailbreaking overrated).
