anyway to Disable the Disk Drive Boot up sound?

everytime computer start, disk drive has sound(from optical drive not speaker sound), normal macbook there possible way disable it? in windows, there such thing change boot device , not sure if mac has kind of function skip disk reading when boot system

 

do want disable startup sound or noise disc drive makes when boot up?

former can done, easiest solution mute volume before shutting down mac. latter not possible think.
