Harddrive issue

most importantly laptop has failing hard drive. in disk utility tells me hard drive failing. has 80gb hard drive , upgraded ram 1.2mb few years ago

have optical drive failing

anyway around , repair ? or should throw laptop away

 

you can replace hdd, no need throw away.
hdd failing, important data, buy new hdd , install mac os x onto it.

how format new hdd/ssd install mac os x or make bootable copy onto​
