Brand new 21.5" iMac - DEAD - SOLVED

i'm writing via safari on recovery partition.

got brand new imac out of box, , set up. specs in signature. had transfer data old imac, running 10.7.2. had transfer except settings old imac. finished, looking @ gray screen (it's wallpaper see @ login) 5 minutes. disconnected imac. did warning drive disconnected. did forced shutdown, , rebooted. stuck @ white screen apple logo , cog. can boot recovery hd fine. did verify , repair disk, , said fine. cannot boot safe mode either. please me!

edit: took wrapper off, added 8gb of ram, before first boot. should try taking ram (it's crucial ram) out?

 

i make ram firmly , evenly seated. however, issue sounds more file loss or corruption. reason when abruptly shut imac down, may have done while editing crucial file.

solution, in experience, use recovery hd reinstall lion, start over.

notice: once start imac again, check software update insure you're running latest version of lion.
