i have app app store called system status. @ times when ipad 2 16gb running crappy check memory usage , wired memory usage high yet nothing else running.
hard reset , resolves issue. but, i'm wondering if bigger problem. there underlying issue causing happen? should restore?

there no issue, , memory usage supposed high when ipad working normally. in fact issue system status app, it's reporting numbers don't have lot of meaning , failing explain they're supposed telling you.
suggestion: delete app it's pretty pointless, , stop worrying it. if ipad running slow, give few minutes - sorts out. if not, reboot it.
(and if want know why memory numbers pointless: ipad keeps apps aren't active (but you've used) in memory. if go use them again, start instantly , continue left off. fills memory of course. if open app needs it, ipad wakes 'sleeping' apps , tells them shut down - lets them shut down cleanly, , frees memory quickly, can cause little slowdown while happens - should settle. way multitasking, battery life, , apps memory need, downside little lag when start new app , then.)
