Was the new AppleTV update worth it to you?

personally i'm not sure

had apple tv 2 , quite pleased it, got newly updated version based on allure of 1080p. imho, on 46" samsung led, new 1080p on appletv noticeable; i'd quantify 15% improvement in overall picture quality. upgrading denon receiver , energy 5.1 speakers go new apple tv previous sony surround-sound-in-a-box more noticeable , pleasing upgrade.

also, airplay not seem improved on new appletv. thought faster processor audio , video not stutter-y , clunky, is.

opinions?

 

the key here you're asking if worth individual. me, absolutely yes. watching things in 720p on 50" screen pretty close getting frustrating when i'd watch cable @ 1080p sometimes.
