Rainbow Pinwheel in Late-2007 MacBook with Kingston V200 SSD

hi everyone,

purchased , installed kingston ssdnow v200 128gb drive late-2007 macbook (mb062ll/b) running leopard (10.5.8) , default hardware (with exception of 4 gb of ram) in hopes ssd faster default hdd.

installation of leopard on ssd went fine, , computer boots fine. in addition, reading , writing on disk good. however, within 10-15 minutes of using computer, rainbow pinwheel/beach ball of death on whatever application i'm running. far, has occurred while browsing on safari, google chrome, performing system updates, , looking @ system profiler.

i've tried holding application's icon in dock in order force quit it, results in dock freezing. clicking on application's window results in application giving rainbow pinwheel well. eventually, entire screen , applications open unresponsive , give rainbow pinwheel. solution hard reset.

clarify: disk formatted mac os extended (journaled) guid partition table. connection bus serial ata 2, according disk utility, although speed given 1.5 gigabit in serial-ata section of hardware menu in system profiler.

wondering if had idea on fix. lot in advance!

 

did try verify , repair disk in disk utility?

did try reset pram , nvram?

ram somehow?
