Mail App strips IPTC tags from images

this little bit annoying, not deal breaker. has else seen this? when send image via mail (10.7.2) @ original size, keeps iptc tags, resize image (in email), strips tags out.

assume it's because in order resize image, mail creates copy of image, doesn't keep iptc tags. nice if this. should in touch apple it?
