iPhone battery problems

hello,

bought iphone 3gs 16gb ebay no service problem,

did research , flashed ipad baseband 6.15.00 redsn0w.

unlocked ultrasn0w , works fine apart battery draining,
know common fault flashing baseband.

have upgraded ios 5.1 on 5.0.1 , exact same battery draining.

read subscriber artificial module has no service @ start.

iphone model before 35 week mark.

suggestions?
