How to extract zip files that are split up into several parts on MAC????

now understand how unrar files .rar because double click 1 of files , unrarx opens , extracts multiple files creating 1 single file...but ran problem, because have file looks 01.zip 02.zip 03.zip 04.zip, , files show little zipper picture on them when click first file, unzips 1 file creating useless folder similar zip pictured file , says 1-01.zip know theres way unrar rar file software need or doing wrong? i'm running snow leopard thank
