as newbie, regularly confused put code , when tweak inspector in interface builder. advice of macrumours member, i've switched off storyboard , i've been learning coding xib files, book called 'beginning ios 5 development' david, mark , jack.
however, it's lot of work using xib files , storyboard helps see views in convenient way. has experienced developers welcome addition of storyboard?
want toggle status bar hidden property yes when segue view on storyboard. in inspector there option switch status bar property 'none', alone doesn't hide status bar @ runtime. adding line of code viewdidload hide status bar job,
code:
[[uiapplication sharedapplication] setstatusbarhidden = yes];
but small gap remains status bar once was, @ runtime. i've adjusted struts , springs of views , subviews, no luck.. i'm sure i'll figure out eventually, it's confusing jumping between storyboard , code issues this.
i'm not interested in storyboards, know how build interfaces way i'm used to, , been doing on year or 2.
it's easy me set up, , don't want switch over, far, that's advice, alot of people tell why it's better, , think it's learn anyways
