not end of world... in storage tab in "about mac" saying there 113.14 gb free out of 250.14 gb. but, when @ "get info" on "macintosh hd" says there 201.34 gb free of 250.14 gb... gives? there way can re cache drive these 2 figures match? refer following picture:

for space issues, there few things can try:
- begin restarting computer first step. resolves issues.
- search finder see if space being consumed large file or several large files. adjust 50gb in illustration whatever size deem appropriate.
- for time machine users on lion, time machine local snapshots may consuming space.
- use omnidisksweeper, jdisk report or grandperspective see how space being used on drive. of these apps may show more detail others, try several.
