Virus? Trash filling up with thousands of .emlx files


over last few days have seen thousands of .emlx files appearing in trash.
have clamxav installed , quarantine folder set trash.
indication of virus?
 

those mail app.
it's not virus, since none exist can run on mac os x. don't need 3rd party antivirus app keep mac malware-free. macs not immune malware, no true viruses exist in wild can run on mac os x, , there never have been since released on 10 years ago. cannot infect mac visiting website, unzipping file, opening email attachment or joining network. malware in wild can affect mac os x handful of trojans, cannot infect mac unless actively install them, , can avoided basic education, common sense , care in software install. also, mac os x snow leopard , lion have anti-malware protection built in, further reducing need 3rd party antivirus apps.
