System information/About this mac ... wrong info !

bought 17" pre unibody mbp ebay - although worked fine, developed serious hinge problems ! got quotes repaired these not worth doing, ...then stumbled across cosmetically perfect a1229 (same mine) dead logic board going less cost of repair quotes, had quick on ifixit, decided buy perfect mbp , transplant logic board

differences 2.4ghz vs 2.6ghz , , "body donor" machine has 1920 x 1200 glossy display.

went fine , thing works lovely , pleased outcome , if in "about mac" identifies 15" mid 2010 machine , , reports screen being 15" (correct res though)

not huge problem - bit strange , wonder if lead problems updates etc in future ?

after perform surgery did reinstall osx?
