Jailbroken Phone needs to be taken to Apple Store to get Applecare

hi,
jail broke iphone 4s , need take in today inspected applecare +. restore backup when not jailbroken? or whats procedure?

 

a factory restore wipe traces of jailbreak. restore form backup still remove jailbreak tweaks may still survive. can done in itunes.
